The Fashion World of Women's Clothing

Well the general opinion seems to be that women today have as many options as they have in the past, but the one area that has been both lost in the distance, and in the air, is fashion.

With fewer people to dress, and style editors to dictate what is trendy, clothes retailers have been left with the difficult job of finding clothes that are still fashionable - and fashionable ladies don't like trendy clothes!

Despite that, retailers have picked up on the trend for some of the vintage inspired designs, and the clothes that are being designed are arguably more up to date than most clothes being promoted in the fashion press. Even some high street fashion chains seem to be regulating towards thrift stores and vintage style, despite their fashion hype. With both girls and boys becoming more interested in being "in fashion" the fashion press have also needed to step up their game, and fashion designers have responded with both creativity and style - which is now showing in the clothes that they are designing for the fairer sex.

A few years ago, women's clothing were pretty much the same, regardless of the season; however, now some stores are appealing to women by making more of an effort to attract them. Some fashion labels are even catering to women, rather than men, and cater to all age ranges.

Perhaps the big fashion labels were ahead of the game, and have managed to veer change into something that appeals to both sexes, regardless of age. Even the most discerning woman would agree that it is easier to dress in the clothes that you like, rather than the clothes that you feel older than your age.

At the same time, the creative and talented in the fashion world have also, this year, managed to hit the ball with both - although the trendy clothes for both genders still rely on collections of the male variety.

They say it is forward, but short, and they mean it is forward and stylish. The forward thinking labels are making fashion with a difference - although everyone else follows the fashions of the day - think of the Vogue and Harper's Bazzarini who do not conform to any trends but follow them anyway. These are the fashion rebels of our time - and they are winning.

Of course, one of the great benefits of this is that the vast majority of us girls will now have a vast choice in clothes, as plenty of high street retailers have caught on to the trend.

Fashion is also giving some narrowing margin to the old - those of us who are willing to let trends dictate our style, will also have an option that we never had before - and in many cases, our preferred style of clothes will be a result of buying clothes of a different brand to our normal ones.
