Whether you use it for cutting things, such as paper, or duty cutting for things that need precise cutting. A knife is not just that but it has blades too. An ordinary knife has many sharp parts or blades. The sharpest part is the point, this is the part that deals with cutting something with force or force on that point. The handle is the area near the blade. A knife can slice or cleave if something important is to cut with a slice. For a knife that you need duty cutting, the point is where you need to put and take your handmade knife.

Knives are to be chosen according to its purpose. So where do you start in looking for the right knife? First you have to decide if you will have a large or small knife.  And remember that the bigger the knife is, the harder will be its cutting edge. As for the edge size, you will need one that fits your hand. The size of your hand determines how large your knife will be. That means that if you are an office worker, then a large knife is required, if you use it for garden work, then smaller ones. Heavier people would want a smaller knife, and lighter people would want a larger one. As for color, get one of those knives which is in an available and bright color. White knife is ideal in fact, because of the shiny appearance.  Besides that, a last tip in choosing a knife is to look for the blade length, this is important because the wider the blade, the more precise will be your cutting. Don't forget to choose knives that differ with their sheaths. Chose a sheath that is made of stainless steel. They will rust but when balancing it with the knife, your hand will not slip off. There are many different types of stainless steel sheaths which you can choose from and also different sizes of pocket knives, which are either serrated, single- edged or double- edged. All knives have to have sharp blades. The stronger your knife is, the sharper you will need.  Always remember to clean them after every use.
